Questionhello, my girlfriend and i have fiddle leaf tree inside our house. we love it, but it seems that we may be possibly doing something wrong with the care of our new plant. the leaves are turning brown and now thy are starting to fall off the tree. i recently moved the plant to a corner of our living-room. we were old that all it needs is indirect lighting. i had thought that the corner i placed it in was enough light. please let us know what we or i did or doing wrong...thank you
AnswerMarcos,
Your tree needs sun. Leaves falling off can indicate not enough light or too much water. I would move it in front of a south facing window immediately. Then also be sure to not leave water sittin in the drain tray after you water it. You can use a turkey baster to empty it. Also insert a long bamboo skewer into the soil before watering and do not water unless most of the skewer comes out dry. You can leave the skewer in the soil and check it each time it is time to water. More sun should solve your problem immediately but be careful with your watering also. Good luck.
