QuestionI recently bought a house plant on sale at my local grocery store. I want to know the name and how to take care of it. I lost the tag. It has thickish stems with shiny green leaves that have a point on them. The leaves grows compactly with small purple/blue flowers (star shaped) with yellow stigma or styles. There are not tons of flowers - cluster of leaves with one flower. It puts out a pleasent light scent. I hope my discription is helpful. Thanks so much.
AnswerAnna,
I suspect it is a persian violet. You can go to the following site to see a picture of a persian violet to make sure I am right:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Persian+Violet
If that is it you will find care instructions at the following site:

If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
