QuestionJust wondering How I can clip a yucca tree to reproduce? And how do I plant a yucca tree clipping?
AnswerPauline,
You need to clip 12-36 inches off the top of the yucca plant. Then dip the part you cut off in rooting hormone and insert it in a fresh pot of soil. The old plant will send out 2-4 new side shoots that will grow into new tops you can let these all develop for a few months the take all but 2 off and dip them in rooting hormone and pot them up. Let the 2 develop into new tops on your original plant. You can put some of the cuttings in the same shots beside the original plant to make your pot look fuller. Good luck.
