The bloom has faded and is turning brown.  Should I remove it; will it encourage the pups to appear quicker?  I keep this plant on my screened in porch.  It gets lots of bright light, no direct sun.  I water it about once a week with well water. I've had this plant for about 6 mo., and it's still in the 6" pot that it came in.

Yes, cut the bloom off. Then go to the following google list of sites and check out all the sites but especially the first one that has detailed instructions for reblooming your plant.
