Question Hello Mrs. Kittle, I have what looks to be almost exactly the same as a peace lily growing outside of my house but the leaves are large and mostly pink with light green around the perimeter. From what I have read and seen peace lilies have deep green leaves and are indoor plants, but the flowers on mine match perfectly with every picture. Any ideas? Thanks,
Nate
AnswerNate,
You must live in a tropical area because the plant would not survive the winter in a frezing climate. It is a caladium. The plant is a bulb plant. In cold climates it is dug ain the fall and allowed to rest during the winter.
There are many different colors of caladiums and some people collect all the colors. The following sites have more complete info on the care of caladiums. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
