QuestionMy plant is about 2.5 feet tall & i had kept it in the patio however when the temperature droped it got cold the plant has become pale & looks limp. please let me know how i can revive it?
AnswerNivedita,
If your plant was outside during freezing temperatures there is nothing you can do to save it. It is a tropical plant and cannot stand to be out in freezing temperatures. It doesn't like temperatures below 50 degrees for very long but if the temperature was not below freezing put it in a warm sunny window and keep it there and eventually the plant should recover but it may take 3-4 months for it to fully revive. Cold temperatures do a lot of damage to tropical plants. They need to be moved indoors before the tmperature drops below 50 degrees. Be very careful not to overwater it while it is recuperating. Good luck.

Followup:
Cut off any soft stems and remove any droopy or dead leaves, but otherwise place it in the sunniest window that you have and leave the drapes or miniblinds open all day so it will get as much sun as possible. Do not water it until the surface of the soil feels very dry and do not let it sit in standing water. Then just be patient and wait. It will revive itself. Good luck.
