QuestionMy Moses-In-A-Boat plant is growing very well indoors with no problems! However, that is part of the problem - - - it is getting too big! Please tell me where I can cut this plant back without harming it. Thank you in advance for your help!
AnswerHi Kathy,
Your Rhoeo spathacea stems can be cut back at any point on the stems. Even if you cut off all of the leafed portion, new growth will still emerge at the end of the cut back stem. As long as the plant is healthy, it doesn't matter where you cut it back.
Pruning plants does not harm them. It just alters their appearance. Regular pruning keeps a plant full and compact and prevents legginess and excessive growth.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
