QuestionI was given an orchid plant at Thanksgiving, it was in bloom. It bloomed again in May and still has the same blooms on it after 3 months. Do they always bloom for this long a time?
I volunteer at our local Hospice House and they have several of these plants and people tend to move them around a lot and I have a hard time keeping them in good light. Any suggestions.
I really enjoy your webb site. Thanks!
AnswerHi Barbara,
It is unusual for Orchids to bloom more than once per year outside the greenhouse and blooms lasting 1-2 months is typical. So whatever you are doing - keep it up! It helps to have a good quality Orchid, as well.
I have written an article on Orchid care that I will e-mail to you if you send a request to my e-mail address below.
Glad you found my website (www.HorticulturalHelp.com) helpful.
