QuestionHi Darlene. I've got a question about ferns that I hope you can help us out with. I don't know the species this fern is, and neither does the owner, my mother(I'm asking on her behalf). We've had it for nearly a month now, it's in an eight-inch pot, and is handing to the side of our south-facing sliding glass window, but does not get very much light. My mom feared underwatering and has now overwatered it to the point that it's begun dying. We use untreated city water. She waters it once-twice a week. Can we save it? What can we do better? Would it be possible to transplant it outdoors? Thanks for any help!
AnswerSonja,
Can you email me a picture of it to
[email protected]?
I would suggest drying it out as soon as possible. You could plant it in the ground temporarily but without knowing what kind of fern it is or where you live I can't tell you if you can leave it there. Send me a picture and I may be able to tell what it is.
