Question
Yucca  can you tell me why the tips are turning brown?  The plant has been in
water for 2 weeks. I don't have any roots on the plant yet. Should I take it out of
the water and just put it in soil. It sitting on the kitchen  table. It's not in a  
window.

The tips are turning brown because this is a desert plant and does not like too much water. Yes, I would get some rooting hormone at a garden center like Walmart, Lowes, Buiders Square, etc, then dip the cut end into the rooting hormone and insert it into a fresh pot of soil and firm the soil around the trunk. Put it in a very sunny east or west window with the drapes or blinds open all day. It needs the sun, it is a sun loving plant. It will grow much better in the sun. Good luck.
