QuestionWe have been a foster home to our daughters Schefflera and apparently it likes it here. We live in the NE and the plant gets filtered south light. We would like to know how (mainly where and how much)to prune the plant so we don't kill it and before it eats up our bedroom.
Thanks,
Mike
AnswerHi Mike,
All you need to understand is that a healthy Schefflera stem can be cut back at any point and new growth will later emerge just below the point of the pruning cut and grow upward from there. So you decide where you want the new growth to come in and prune accordingly. That's pretty much all there is to it.
