QuestionMy partner and I have just acquired two of the most beautiful palms I have ever seen..........my dilemma is this: how much direct light is needed to provide conditions to maintain a healthy palm...........the location I have in mind is my screened in porch which has diffused light with a little direct afternoon light....the palms stand eight and ten feet high with thirty inch diameter bulbs..........any input on these conditions.
AnswerHi Steve,
If the screened porch light is very bright, but indirect for most of then day, then you should have enough light for your ponytails. Try to locate them so that they are in the brightest part of your porch. A few hours of direct sun is helpful.
