QuestionI remember from when I was a kid that there was a plant that grew without water. I was trying to find it online and I came upon your web site. I thought I might try going through you to see if you could give me some help. I want to say that it is some kind of moss??? If you could give me an answer as soon as you can I'm on a deadline here at the office. Thank you! Bobbie
AnswerHi Bobbie,
The plant you are probably referring to is commonly called Air Plant. It's botanical name is Tillandsia. It does not need to grow in a pot with soil. However, it does need to be misted a couple of times a week to survive, so it is not a completely water-free plant.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
