QuestionHi, I know this is a hard question. Someone told me about a plant, but did not know the name of it. The only description I have, is that the plant is not the most beautiful, and its possible for the plant to survive with no water. I was told if you took the plant out of water, for example if you went away on holiday, and upon returning, if you put it back in the water, it would start growing again. Any idea on any plants that do this?
AnswerHi Wayde,
The only plant that comes to mind is the Tillandsia, which is sometimes called an air plant because of its ability to live a long time with little or no water.
However, there are many other plants that have dormant periods during which they receive no water, but then renew growth when watered.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
