I read some of your helpful replies.  I wanted to say thank you and to try some of your advice before asking anything specific.  We live in Dubai UAE and have fairly successful garden, but some plants are going through tough times.  In Dubai, most gardens are cared for by groundskeepers who try their best but are much less qualified than professionals like you and there is often a severe language barrier

Thank you, Sean. My area of expertise is limited to tropical plants that are grown indoors. If these same plants are grown outside, then my information may not apply.
