QuestionI have 2 small clippings from an umbrella plant. My question is: Can they be rerooted to start another plant ?
Right now I have them in fresh water. I tried root grow powder and they seemed to start to wilther so I put them in fresh water. Now they are standing straight up and look healthy. Can I grow a clipping of an umbrella plant?
AnswerBarbara,
Some people root them in water, I have the pest luck rooting them using rooting hormone and cutting off 2/3rd's of each little leaflet then setting the plant in a sunny location. It usually roots in a couple of weeks. They are a little touchy but they can be grown from cuttings. They like a sunny location. Good luck.
