QuestionI live in Houston, TX. today a worker cut my philodendron sellum. He cut several roots long enough that I think I can plant it and it'll be ok. it was at least 8 foot tall. I think the trunk from the ground up is still rooted about 4 ft long and was told that it will come back from the trunk. I was told to pull the leaves off the trunk that was cut and put them in the ground and a plant should come. this plant was about 12 years old and really a prize. Can you give me guidance so i don't loose everything.

Is your Selloum growing in th ground outside or in a pot indoors? My expertise is limited to indoor potted plants.
