QuestionMy Mom brought me an easter lily last time she came to town. I have heard that you should just trash them after the flowers die, but I re-potted it anyway. Soon after the leaves began to yellow and whither and I notices what looked like bug eggs on the underside of the leaves. The eggs turned into little flying bugs. Ick. Do I trash the plant or try to treat it. If I treat it.. what with?
AnswerHi Jenny,
Trash the lily. It is a hybrid and it will not flower again so there is no point in keeping it, especially since it is a source of pests.
