QuestionHow do I prune a China Doll after it has become leggy? I am inexperienced at pruning! Help! PS: I rescued this small tree from work due to lack of care and it did'nt have one green leaf on it! It looks like a jungle in my bedroom now. Thanks
AnswerHi Fran,
Pruning tends to be based on the individual plant, but I can give you some general guidelines.
Any healthy stem can be pruned back to any height. New growth will then emerge just below the point of the pruning cut. So prune back to where you would like to see new growth come in.
Pruning does not harm plants, it only alters their appearance so plunge in without hesitation.
If you can email me a a photo, I might be able to provide more specific guidelines.
