QuestionHow are you? Im proud to say my plants are growing and thriving quite well. I am looking to add to my collection.
Im interested in a Lobster Claw heliconia. Would you recommend this as a houseplant?
AnswerHi Mychele,
Heliconia is a good indoor plant as long as you have a spot right in front of a sunny window to keep it. This plant can also grow quite large, so you will need some growing room for it.
Keep it moderately potbound. Water it thoroughly as soon as the top half-inch of soil feels dry. Fertilize it at half-strength monthly.
So, if you have lots of light and space, this is a good plant for you.
