QuestionWe have a corn plant that has just flowered for the first time. The flowering is done and we are not sure what to do with the shoots. Can you help?
AnswerHi Kevin,
Congratulations of your flowering corn plant. You must have had it for a long time and cared for it well.
The flower stems should be cut off at their bases - where they emerge from the foliage. I usually remove them as soon as the flowers start to get a bit brown and dry because they just become increasingly messy after that.
