I RECEIVED A POINSETTIA AT CHRISTMAS TIME.I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU CAN PLANT THEM IN THE GROUND.I NEED SOMEONE TO TELL ME WHEN,WHERE,HOW,AND WHAT TO DO WITH IT ONCE I GET IT IN THE GROUND.CAN YOU HELP ME?
-----Answer-----
Rebecca,
Where do you live? City and state so I know your climate then I will tell you how to handle your poinsettia.
Darlene
AnswerRebecca,
Poinsettias are from Mexico. They need to be in a sunny location. Once you dig a hole and plant it in the ground you only need to water if it is very dry, however they can't stand frost so if you get frost in your area I would leave it in a pot in a sunny location. The following website has complete instructions on care if you decide to keep it in a pot.
