QuestionWe have a 5ft Australian Daisy that has begun to brown off. We obtained it in November, and it looked great for the first month, constantly flowering. It is in our office, which is kept at 60 to 68 degrees. Near the end of December, it started to brown off, and showed a grainy white crystal on the leaves. We see no insects, but sprayed with malathion. Any suggestions?
AnswerHi Dean,
There are many "Australian daisy" species. None of the ones I am familiar with are used as indoor potted plants nor are they 5-feet tall. They all require direct outdoor sun and cool temps if they are to survive for long.
Either your flowering plant has reached the end of its flowering period and should now be discarded or you have something else entirely.
