QuestionHi there!
I received a beautiful calla lilly for Christmas. It is in a 6 inch pot. I have it sitting on my dining room table, light and airy but no full sun. I have read that it likes to be sitting in water (recently). I have been sitting it in the sink once a week to thoroughly water it but have not let it "sit in water". It seems moist enough to me but my problem is the leaves are turning yellow and I keep cutting them off. I am getting new leaves however and even new flowers. What am I doing wrong?
AnswerHi Louise,
Calla lilies do need soil that stays moist. However, they also require lots of direct sun. Yours is getting yellow leaves because it is not getting adequate light. Move it to a sunny windowsill and you should see a gradual decline in the leaf yellowing.
