Yes, first cut each leaf on the cutting in half, that way the leafs use less moisture. It is best to use rooting hormone and insert the cuttings in a pot of soil. Then put tie poot in a plastic bag and set the pot in a sunny location. You will have a 50/50 chance of the cuttings roooting. You can put more than 1 cutting per pot. This is better done in April when the days are lonnger but if you have already pruned the ficus tree then give it a shot. Good luck.
