hi.  so, i came back from vacation and my two mass canes were sad.  almost
every leaf was brown and pointing directly at the ground.  i broke the tops
off.  is that ok?  on second thought, i realized that i had no idea.  so, what
can i do for my two sticks?  thanks!!!

How long were you on vacation for? Was it bone dry or very wet? Does the pot have a drain hole and a drain tray? What is the diameter of the pot? How long had you had this plant?  All you can do now is water it lightly if it was dry and be patient. Be very careful not to overwater, they do not want to be in a swamp, they will rot.  How tall are the 2 sticks? Keep it in a bright but not sunny location and answer my 6 questions and I will try to let you know if there is more you can do.
