Question
I "had" a beautiful plant that my husband mistakenly left out on an enclosed
porch and the tops got mushy. I called a floral shop and they told me to cut
the tops off and that it would eventually grow back. I now fear that I've ruined
it and I'm sick.   Is there anything at all that I can do?
Thanks!!!

Answer
Lois,

As long as the bulb is still firm it will come back. Keep it in a sunny window and only give it a cup of water every 3 weeks. Overwatering it could kill it. Be patient. It will eventually send  out new shoots.  It may not happen till the days get longer. It is not dead as long as the bulb is firm. Good luck.
