QuestionCan I grow Confederate Jasmine indoors? I plan to put it on a pyramid shaped trellis and place it in my breakfast nook. If the blinds are open, it gets quite a bit of light. Is that enough? Will it work?
Thanks!
AnswerAngela,
It can be grown inside but you need to give it conditions close to what it gets outdoors to be successful. It needs sun for as many hours a day as possible, not just bright light. It would be happier with a 10 degree temperature drop at night. It needs well draining soil, potting soil with extra perlite added works well. Do not overwater but do not allow to be dry for more than a day either. Do not allow it to stand with water in the drain tray, it hates swamps. It should bloom for you in early spring. In the summer I would put it outdoors in full sun. Good luck.
