Faltering Hibiscus

Question
My hibiscus is hanging on, courageously.  Her leaves are wilting, yellowing, and falling off.  Although I water, turn on humidifier, keep her away from window draft, but in well-lit room, she is suffering terribly.  I am considering indoor grow light, but don't know what else to do. Ideas?

Answer
Hugh,

The drafts will not hurt near as much as the lack of sun. Move it close to the window and add a flourescent light on it for 14 hours a day. Be very careful not to overwater. It needs to be kept on the dry side, water it and let it dry out well before watering again. Empty the drain tray an hour after watering so it is not setting with wet feet. It's roots rot easily if it is kept too wet. That can mean certain death. Even if she looses all leaves don't give up. Just keep it in a sunny location and keep it barely watered, water it half as much as you are now. It is very likely to sprout new leaves as the days get longer. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
