QuestionHi Darlene.
I friend of mine is sending me a cutting of Senecio Articulatus. The problem is I've never heard of it, let alone cared for one. He grows all his plants in his yard in California. I live in an apartment in Detroit.
Can you give me a few pointers? BTW, I'm using a couple of fluorescent lights to help my succulents during the gray months. So I can give this new plant a little more light than what comes through the window.
Thanks Darlene.
AnswerAmanda,
Hopefully the plant will get to you without being frozen in transit. This is a very touchy time of year to ship plants. I am not familiar with this plant so I did a little research. This website has more info:

It is a succulent, as you realize and needs lots of sun.. Your flourescent lights will help this winter but in the summer it would be very beneficial to find a spot for it outdoors in full sun. You should treat it like a cactus when it comes to watering, do not water it until it is very dry for several days. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
