QuestionI FINALLY found some asparagus fern plants after 6 years and they are all dying (bought from different stores). No matter what I do, they turn yellow. I am SO upset, I can't stand it. PLEASE HELP ME. Thank you in advance for any time and advice your can give me. Debbie
AnswerHi Debbie,
You haven't told me what it is that you do, so I cannot a say where you are going wrong. I will tell you how to best care for our asparagus fern and that may help you determine where you are going astray.
Locate your Asparagus fern in your sunniest window. They are not low light plants!
If you moved you plants into a larger pot, then you may be overwatering. They do best when moderately potbound.
Water your plants thoroughly as soon as the surface of the soil feels quite dry.
Use a dilute fertilizer at half strength monthly.
Watch carefully for spider mites. Mist the plants lightly with a fine mist and then look for tiny webs between the needles. If you find them, let me know and I will tell you how to treat spider mites.
