QuestionI have a bougainvillea growing in a large pot on my porch. It has been growing for about 4 months and is flowering well. (Now is the start of summer in New Zealand) A lot of the leaves are yellowing and falling. The garden shop said not to over-water. Is this a sign of under-watering?
AnswerBarry,
Yes, in the winter you have to be careful about not overwatering. In summer outdoors mine get watered daily and have no problems. During the summer as long as it is above 10 degrees celsius they should be outdoors in full sun, they love the sun. Fertilize once a month. Good luck.
