I have to tell you I was probably wrong with my first answer. Your plant is listed as poisonous to dogs and cats on several websites but to respond to your question about safe plants I did a search for safe houseplants and your dracaena marginata or madagascar dragon tree is listed on all the safe plant lists I could locate. One list of safe plants follows.
