QuestionI can't re call the true name of this plant, mine is over thirty years old, but this week I notice there was a crack in the base is this because it's so old that the base now really looks like a elephants foot or is there something wrong with it? I love this plant HELP!

Common names, such as elephant's foot, often get applied to different plant species. Usually, elephant's foot refers to Dioscorea elephantipes, but it might also apply to Beaucarnea recurvata.
