QuestionSo is the yellowing of the leaves due to improper planting technique or lack of water? I believe the ceramic pot it was planted in does have drainage holes but unsure it is very heavy.
AnswerHi Michelle,
Most ceramic pots do not have drainage holes. If your ceramic pot has drainage holes then water would leak from the bottom of the pot every time you water it.
Most likely the yellowing of the leaves is being caused by overwatering due to the lack of drainage holes.
You will need to repot the plant into a pot with drainage holes. If you want to still use the ceramic pot then you can use it to double pot your plant. Repot the plant in a plastic pot that is small enough to fit inside the ceramic one, put a layer of pebbles in the bottom of the ceramic pot and set the plastic pot inside the ceramic pot.
I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks
