Question
I have 2 large potted pothos ivys.  Both of them have started getting white powder like flakes on the leaves and vines.  Any thoughts on what this is and what I can do about it?

Hi Liz,

I can't imagine what would cause white flakes unless the leaves were sprayed with some kind of lacquer-type spray that is now peeling off. That seems unlikely.

Is it possible that the white stuff is more cotton-like in texture? Or is it maybe a whitish coating that looks a bit like whitewash?
