Answer
Susan,

I need to know what kind of plants you have?  They are probably tropical plants so 80 degrees will not bother them. However, some plants need sun and some need shade. Without knowing what you have I can't tell you to put them out in full sun or not. The symptoms sound like you are overwatering them. They should be watered no more than once a week and then they should not be watered unless the top inch or two of soil is very dry. Roots need to breath between waterings and they cannot breath if the soil is constantly wet.  Too much moisture causes brown leaf tips. If you let me know what your plants aare I will tell you what light they need outdoors. If you ddon't know you can email me pictures of them to [email protected] and I will identify them for you. Good luck.

Darlene
