QuestionHelllo again,
I have a stromanthe Magic star and for the past 2 or 3 days the leaves have been drooping. I had removed it from it's pot to check for root rot of anything because I have had the plant for a couple months and there has been no new growth. What is wrong with my stromanthe? I really like this plant and want it to grow.
Thank you for your time
Melina
AnswerHi Melina,
I have had the same problem with my 'Magic Star'. Just keep the plant in high humidity, lower light and keep it lightly watered. It should recover in a few days. When you removed the plant from it's pot you might have accidently damaged some of the roots and that is probably the cause of the problem.
When I got my first 'Magic Star' it took a long time to sprout new growth. It needs a longer period of time to adjust to a new environment. It will also only produce new growth in the right light level. You may have to try a couple different light levels to find the one it likes but it will be somewhere within low to medium light levels. Once you find the light that the plant prefers then it should start producing new growth in a week or 2. I have all 3 of mine under artificial light but each one liked a different light level. I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information don't hesitate to ask.
