Questionmy aloe plant is ggrowing, not offsprings just new leaves but the roots are very dry and dark. they almost look like they are rotting. i do not want this plant to dye it was given to me by my son inlaw he had it for ten years. what do i do to keep it from dying. it is growing new leaves but they keep breaking off or drying out.
AnswerIvette,
I certainly understand your concern. I had a large aloe die once that I had had for many years. It was a big loss. You do not say how old or large your plant is, if it is indoors or outdoors, or how often you water it. The fact that it is putting out new leaves is a good sign, of course. But, I wonder if you have kept it either too dry or too wet. Those things matter a lot. If you could respond to me with the above details I will do my best to help you.
