What's the best way to propagate a succulent from a cutting?

What kind of succulent do you have? It depends on what you have. A jade cutting you should leave lay on a table to dry for at least 3-4 days until it is dry and looks like there is a scab on the cut end. Then insert it in a pot of fresh cactus soil and water it lightly. It will root in about 2-4 weeks. If you have something else let me know what it is and I can tell you how to propagate it.
