Question
I've recently bought a massangeana cane and would like to know if it is poisonous. I have to cats and would realy hate to see them sick because of a plant I liked.

Hi Nicole,

There is often disagreement among exerts as to just which plants are toxic and just how toxic they are. More definitive research is needed in this area.

Dracaena massangeana is on the ASPCA's list of toxic plants. here is a link to the ASPCA information:

Perhaps there is a way to keep your cats away from the plant.
