Question Irecently recived a peace llilly for my bithday three leaves are starting to turn yellow. I was keeping the soil moist and have it sitting in moderate light. It is not in a draining pot do I need one?
AnswerHi Rick,
You absolutely do need to move your peace lily to a pot with drainage holes. This will allow excess moisture to drain out and also prevent the accumulation of gases and mineral salts in the root zone.
Use a pot that is as close as possible in size to the existing pot. Resist the temptation to move it into a lager pot. It does better when the roots are tight in the pot.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
