Question
I have a bush in my yard that is suppose to be an almond bush but the flowers on it are white and it produces little red berries that the birds just love to eat. everything I have found so far on the almond bush says it has pink flowers and there is no mention of the red berries but the images look very similuar to ours. We were trying to figure out what the red berries were for also.

I am an expert on houseplants, not shrubs. I have never grown this shrub. The red berries would be fruit with seed but other than that I know very little about Flowering almonds.  When I Googled it they showed both white and pink in images. The following site discusses fruit such as you describe. It says the fruit are edible. Check out the site and the images in Google.
