QuestionI have an Adam's needle yucca plant growing in my front yard. The yard is south facing so there is full sun exposure. The plant has alway done very well until this year. This spring I notice that most of the leaves were turning yellow. I did send up 2 flower stalks that partially bloomed. The plant has a few green leaves but the rest all seem to be dying. The Adam's needle planted along side of it is doing well, very green but has never bloomed. Can you tell me what might be the problem w/the one that appears to be dying.
Thanks for you help.
AnswerSandi,
How close together are the 2 yuccas? How much water do they get? Do you have a sprinkler system? Is the sick one closer to a sprinkler head? Where do you live? How much rain has your area been getting? I suspect too much water is the problem. Is there a reason the sick one is getting wetter or staying wetter than the other one. Let me know if you think that is the case?
