QuestionI have a money tree. It's still little, it's in a 7 inch pot. It stopped growing after I changed pots for nearly a month, and yesterday, I decided to put it outside in the sunshine... It was hot and the plant grew! So today, since it was doing better, I putted my plant in my bed room window in the sunshine again... But I just realized right now that the leaves have now turned kind of whitish.... And they seem to have gotten thinner...
White or yellowish and thinner! What happened???
AnswerHi Matisa,
The direct outdoor sun is very intense and much brighter than direct sun indoors. It is the "sunburn" that has caused the leaves to turn pale. Unfortunately, those damaged leaves will never recover their healthy green color. If you protect your Pachira from direct sun in the future, then new growth will not be damaged.
