Question
Will.  I was given a plant by a friend who was frustrated with it.  She didn't know what it was but thought it was some sort of indoor tropical evergreen.  What kind is it?  And what care should this type of plant receive?

Hi Ann,

I cannot tell from your photo just what it is. The only tropical indoor evergreen is a Norfolk Island pine, but I am not sure that is what you have. It may have been mislabeled. If so, then it has no chance to survive indoors, as the Norfolk pine is the only evergreen that will survive indoors.

Once you confirm that it is a Norfolk pine or not, then I can tell you what to do. A better quality photo will help me ID it for you.
