A DYING Kentia Palm

Question
I thought I was doing the right thing, several months ago, when I re-potted my 20 year old/gifted Kentia Palm, from an 8 inch pot to a 10-12 inch pot.  It was always beautiful.

It has since lost all of its leaves except for one shoot frond that probably won't open.

I have moved it outside in a protected area where we have had very warm days (Sacramento) and mostly cool evenings.

Any magic potion?  Thank you for being there.

Answer
Hi Annie,

I wish you has asked me BEFORE you repotted. Unnecessary repotting is the single most common cause of plant failure. The problem is so pervasive that I have written an article on the topic of repotting that I will send to anyone who sends request to my address below. So you have lots of company!

From your description, there is no miracle that will save your Kentia. I wish I had a more positive solution, but if I gave you one it would be fraudulent.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
