QuestionIt sits in the front corner of our office. It just recently started doing this. At first I thought maybe the cleaners were spraying something on it.....but the other side of the floor is not affected. Help....it is looking sad.

Question -
Our office plant has developed a sticky residue on all it's leaves, there is also a grainy substance in the sticky stuff. Do you have any idea what this may be and how to get rid of it? It is actually dripping onto the floor and making the floor sticky too. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Answer -
Is it an outdoor plant?

AnswerDo you see any kind of bug on the plant? It could be a disease of some sort too. Either one of these things could cause the sap of the plant to sweat out.
I would talk to your local nursery. Tell them what is going on with the plant and they will direct you to a product that they carry that might help. Anything I suggest you will not be able to obtain as I use commercial grade insecticides on my indoor plants.
I am sorry I could not help you any further.
Happy Growing
