I am considering acquiring a fuchia hanging basket. I live in a hot and very humid area,average temperature 90 with humidity around 85.I can provide a shady location with good indirect light but worry about the other conditions.thankyou

Hi Cathy,

Fuchsias prefer cooler temps than you described. However, the high humidity will help keep to a minimum the moisture loss due to the heat. It is also very important that you keep the soil moist at all times. In really hot weather, that could mean daily watering.

Just keep in mind that heat is very drying and when Fuchsias get dry they wilt quickly and lose both flowers and leaves.
