QuestionMy large bonzai Pony Tail Palm obviously did not get enough light this winter. That has been corrected. However, it has lost so many of the lower long curly "leaves" and now looks pretty sparce. Should I get some of the "limbs" off for it to get new start for new clusters.
AnswerLynda,
I would not trim anything off yet. Move it to the sunniest area you have. Then when the temperatures are above 50 degrees at night move it outside to a location where it will get full sun all day long. Also fertilize it once every 2 weeks when you put it outoors for the summer. It will send out a lot of new leaves and perk up fast. Good luck.
